We will have an engaging discussion that will include case studies of how things went wrong and testimonials from experienced CEOs and investors regarding what went right and what went wrong in their previous experience. Investors have a knack for knowing immediately if the executive team is poised to go the distance. Announcing Premier PLUS for RESI Partnering

1 Jul

By Max Braht, Director of Business Development, LSN

Max-Braht-HeadshotPre-pandemic I came across a survey that went out to in-licensors and investors to see from where they sourced their deals. Pipeline databases? Literature? Partnering meetings? Medical conferences? Incoming email solicitations? Website submissions? Warm intros? As it happens, the #1 answer was partnering events, representing the first point of contact for the two parties that eventually made a deal. Even the BioNTech and Pfizer deal came out of a partnering conference in 2013.

However, partnering conferences require a lot of targeted effort in the partnering system to reach out to potential partners and follow-up on the initial outreach. For many early-stage life science entrepreneurs, preparing for a RESI Conference means juggling multiple priorities — investor research, updating pitch decks, team coordination, and most importantly, the execution of your investor outreach strategy.

Many entrepreneurs underestimate the time and effort it takes to identify the right targets, write effective messages, and follow up with these targets consistently. Without a strategic approach, it’s easy to miss out on valuable meetings.

To address this, LSN is introducing a new service: Premier PLUS Partnering, where we do the partnering for you.

Premier PLUS Partnering provides hands-on support from the LSN team to manage your partnering outreach from start to finish.

Drawing on years of experience helping thousands of companies connect with investors, LSN can assist by:

  • Identifying and reaching out to relevant investors and partners
  • Crafting consistent, professional messages tailored to each contact
  • Managing communication and scheduling through the partnering platform
  • Ensuring confirmed meetings in advance of the conference

For entrepreneurs who know the importance of effective partnering strategies and are interested in taking advantage of Premier PLUS Partnering at RESI Boston September, please reach out directly to the LSN team at sales@lifesciencenation.com or include the add-on in your RESI Boston September Registration.

RESI Innovation Challenge Puts Many Scientists/Entrepreneurs in the Funding Circle

1 Mar

By Chris Cummings, Senior Marketing Manager, LSN

RESI is heading to Toronto for the third time, and LSN will soon be reviewing applications to the RESI Innovation Challenge. This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to win a display space at RESI and make their mark at Toronto Health Innovation Week. You have until Friday March 2nd to apply – that’s tomorrow!

The RESI Innovation Challenge covers startups in therapeutics, medtech, diagnostics and healthcare IT from around the globe. All applicants will be vetted based not only on the quality of the company’s scientific work, but also on the strength of the management team and how well-positioned the company is to receive investment.

Previous Innovation Challenge participants have proven to be successful entrepreneurs; we have seen as many as 50% of companies selected to participate in an Innovation Challenge receive funding within one year of the conference. Top competitors are able to find a balance between utilizing both the structure of RESI’s partnering system, and the ad-hoc nature of the Innovation Challenge.

On April 10th, RESI on MaRS’s expected 700 attendees will receive “RESI Cash” to allocate to the entrepreneurs whose technologies they expect will be most influential. The capital invested will be tallied up and the top three winners will receive prizes and be featured in our RESI newsletter recap that will go out to LSN’s 20,000 newsletter readership. Don’t miss the opportunity to apply.

chrsitineRESI is coming home to Boston and so is the RESI Innovation Challenge. This September’s life science innovation competition will showcase the most promising new health technologies in the RESI Innovation Challenge. If you are fundraising and aim to build a presence in the Boston’s booming healthcare scene, we’d like to see your application.

The RESI Innovation Challenge invites the top-tier early-stage companies in therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics and healthcare IT to present from around the globe. All applicants will be vetted on the crucial balance of the quality of the company’s scientific innovation and the investment potential based on the company current standings and management team.

On September 26th, RESI’s estimated 1000 attendees will receive “RESI Cash” to “invest” in the company whom they believe to be the most “investible” of the contestants. The top three winners with the most RESI cash will receive prizes and be featured in our RESI newsletter recap that will go out to LSN’s 20,000 newsletter readership.

In the past we have seen around 50% of Innovation Challenge companies receive funding within a year from their exhibition at RESI. Be sure not to miss out on the chance of adding to this statistic – apply for the Innovation Challenge.
